The disadvantage with large franchises is that due to the enormous amount of orders they must use frozen dough and frozen ingredients in order to make the quantity needed to serve customers. We have found that the best pizza places are those which use fresh ingredients every day and pizzas are made to order.
As rated by Food & Wine magazine along with customer ratings the largest pizza franchise is nothing compared to the pizza places mentioned on this list. There are many great tasting pizzas in the US and it was hard choosing only five but we narrowed it down based on what consumers had to say.

Papa John’s

Papa John’s is the third largest pizza franchise in the United States only after Pizza Hut and Domino’s. Large pizza franchises are not usually known to maintain the quality of smaller more personal restaurants but Papa John’s has proven that quality does not have be compromised by fame.
